For Brands
-
Here’s the entire process in five, simple steps:
1: Get in touch
All you have to do is reach out. Tell us what you’re looking for, whether it’s a general idea or a specific vision and let us know your preferred budget. Not sure what that should be? No problem. We’re happy to help you figure it out.
2: Define the direction
In this phase, we focus on understanding your goals. Are you looking for a photoshoot, social content, a short film, or maybe custom-made artworks for your space? We’ll walk you through all the options, their potential impact, and what suits your brand best. We’ll also define preferences like:The age range of creatives you'd like to work with
Their discipline (e.g. photography, illustration, sculpting)
Their location and background if applicable
3: Scout & Select
This is where our network comes to life. We’ll start scouting talent either directly, through open calls, or by running targeted ads. Once we’ve gathered a strong pool of candidates, we carefully review portfolios, shortlist the best matches, and present our recommendations to you complete with context and creative insight.
4: Production
Once you’ve selected your favorite creatives and we’ve confirmed their availability, we get to work.
We handle all production logistics from planning and scheduling to gear rental, location scouting, and communication with the team. We’ll guide the process to make sure everything runs smoothly and that both you and the creatives feel at ease from start to finish.
5: Delivery
You’ll receive your final assets on time, on brief, and aligned with your expectations or better. We’ll also follow up with the creatives to ensure deadlines are met, and we’ll be your point of contact during the post-production process. If revisions or additional support are needed, we’re right there with you. -
We’re proud to say that we can make any budget work. Whether you have a modest budget or a flexible one, we’ll always find a creative, realistic solution to match your goals without compromising on quality or fairness to the talent involved.
We’re very transparent in how we allocate budgets. We first make sure that artists are fairly paid, based on experience and scope. If the budget is limited, we can scale the production or suggest creative alternatives that still deliver strong impact.
We’re happy to help determine a fitting budget if you're not sure where to start.
-
We’ve designed our process to be as hands-on or hands-off as you prefer. Whether you want to be involved every step of the way or just at the key moments, we’ll gladly adapt to your working style.
Here’s what we handle fully:
Scouting and coaching the right creative talent
Setting timelines, deliverables, and briefings
Full pre- and post-production planning
Communication and support with artist
Quality control and deadline management
On-site guidance (if applicable)
What we’ll discuss with you:
A clear idea of what you’d like to achieve
Input on the budget and direction
Final approval at key decision points (e.g. talent selection, output, final assets)
-
We take a very thoughtful, curated approach to matching creatives to projects. Before scouting even begins, we work closely with you to fully understand:
Your brand identity, tone, and aesthetic
The goals of the project (e.g. reach, awareness, storytelling)
Any preferences discipline or style of the creatives
The desired emotional or cultural impact of the final output
Our goal is always to create genuine alignment between the artist’s voice and your message. -
Short answer: no one does. We believe in open, honest collaboration. Not gatekeeping.
When we bring an artist and an organization together, our role is to facilitate the connection, support the process, and protect the creative integrity of the project. But once a project is complete, we don’t “own” the relationship between the brand and the creative and we will never stand in the way of future collaborations.
If you want to work together again? Beautiful. We’ll cheer you on with or without us involved.
We're here to open doors, not close them. -
When you work with YBA, you don’t have to worry about the fine print. We take full responsibility for the process, the people involved, and the project outcomes.
That means:
We manage the agreements with creatives
We handle rights, releases, and permissions for usage
We take care of any risks related to production, timelines, and communication
If something goes off-track, we step in and fix it, not you
We know how important it is for brands and organizations to feel at ease when working with young or new talent. That’s exactly why we’re here. We ensure everything runs smoothly, legally, and professionally, all while taking away the pressure from you and the artists.
YBA is your single point of accountability. We make it easy, effective, and stress-free.

For Creatives
-
It’s beautifully simple! There are two ways to get involved: you either follow us on Instagram, and if you don’t have Instagram, you can send us an e-mail. We keep a database of artists who approached us directly that do not use instagram, and they will also be informed if there are interesting assignments coming up.
The reason that we like operating on Instagram is because we can keep track of your development without you having to keep us up to date. That does mean that whatever is most recent will be taken into account when scouting. But, if we are interested in your work and notice that you haven’t been actively sharing work on Instagram. We’ll make sure to get in touch with you to see if you have anything new to share with us. -
We mainly focus on working with creatives between the ages of 18 and 30 years old. There are no experience requirements; we consider and carefully look at each portfolio.
If you’re younger, feel free to get in touch, we also support younger creatives through our youth initiative Atelier WOA (This will be rebranded to Young Blood Junior soon).
If you’re over 30, we’ve got you covered as well. We’re working on the ‘Young Blood Academy’, a learning platform that is accessible to all ages. The academy will focus on live and/or pre-recorded workshops that cover running a business, finances, creative development and more! Stay tuned. -
Scouting through curation:
If an organization is looking for a certain visual style, we’ll scout and curate specific creators that either match or could elevate that style. In this case, you will be approached by us directly, and we’ll ask you for a small selection of your most recent or favourite work.Scouting through discovery:
In the cases of exploring a broader scope of creatives, we will put up an open call on our Instagram feed and, in some cases, through targeted ads. We’ll also make sure to contact all of the creatives who have applied to us directly by sending an e-mail. In this case, we’ll also ask you for a small selection of your most recent or favorite work. -
We focus on fit, voice, and potential, not just followers or hype. Every project has different needs, and we match creatives based on visual style, energy, and how well your work aligns with the brief. We also pay close attention to development; if we see you growing, we’ll always take notice.
-
Nope! We look at your work, not your resume. Whether you’re self-taught, fresh out of school, or still figuring things out, we’ll take it seriously.
-
You’ll never be left to deal with difficulties, unclear expectations, or production issues on your own. That’s what we’re here for, we have your back and protect the creative process.
-
100%. We only want you to take on projects that excite and challenge you. If something doesn’t feel right creatively, ethically, or practically, we respect that. Just keep us in the loop.
-
We’ll be able to pay out your fee through invoicing or ‘verloning’. Depending on your current situation, whether you have a registered business or not, we’ll always happily offer help and support to get you set up correctly.
Besides that, we’d like to let you know that value creatives deeply, as YBA is founded by a creator. We always aim to pay the artists an honest and realistic fee and ensure that organizations are aware of this at all times.
We’re also fully transparent. You’ll always know your fee upfront. We never take a percentage of your pay, your full fee goes to you. If we’re handling production or coaching, we invoice separately for that. If the budget is tight, we’ll always speak with you directly to find a fair middle ground. No surprises, ever. -

Other questions
-
We have a clear and simple way of organising YBA financially. We only charge for what we actually do. In simple terms, that is our worked hours for coaching, producing, talent/client care, and project management. In the case of a fixed budget, we always look at it from an ‘artist first’ perspective. We allocate the budget towards the artists and then find out how much is left for the pre/post-production and coaching. This way, we keep it flexible and the door open for honest negotiation for pricing/labour if the budget falls short of the intended goal.
We operate with a fully transparent mindset and are driven by passion, not by profit. If this means that an incredible opportunity/idea comes across our desk where we might have to invest a bit of our own time, we’re more than happy to do so.

Yes! When you refer a brand/client who ends up booking a project, big or small, you’ll receive a 20% commission of our fee from that booking. There is no age limit. Things to keep in mind:
20% of our fee.
All external creator fees will remain untouched. Your payout is going to be based off of our own worked hours that are invoiced to the brand/client.
Give us a heads-up!
We need to double check if a referral is legitimate. Make sure to give us a heads-up if a brand/client will get in touch about a project. We can then cross-check the referral. If possible, make sure they name you when getting in touch.
One person per booking.
We can only give one person the 20% commission per booking. We will double check with the brand/client who referred them.
How do we get paid?
After receiving the final payment for the entire booking, we’ll get in touch with you to pay out your fee. This has to be invoiced directly by you, or through a ‘verloning’ company that you can sign up with.
I am a creator with a referral. How does this work?
In that case we start off with giving you a high five. This means that you’ll receive your own fee + 20% of ours. If you’re a young creator with a booking that requires production, project management or even if you want us to coach you through the entire process. We’ll take on the project, pay you your fee plus 20% of our fee.
I am a marketeer / brand agency. How does this work?
Exactly the same when a brand/client books us (directly) and refers to you. Whether or not that’s for a full project, just the scouting, coaching or production.
Manage expectations.
More often than not, most of the budget is allocated towards the artists. This means that YBA’s fee can fluctuate based on how much we decide to invest our own time. It’s good to have a realistic expectation that our cut won’t be the largest piece of the pie. But we’re more than happy to share a piece of our cut with you.
Why 20%?
Most organisations in the creative industry demand a 20% commission. They either take it off of your fee, or add it on top of it. We think it’s fair to apply that same payout to you. No double standards. -
Our dream is to become a big change in the industry and to represent a group of young, amazing creatives while helping to elevate brands and organisations. The vast internet is making it increasingly harder to connect, discover, and explore new ‘real life’ creative relationships. We know who we are, and we look ourselves in the mirror every single day, questioning if we are doing the right thing in the right ways. We trust that our hearts are in the right place, and we truly believe that this is a large part of how our industry can keep thriving in this new digital age we’re finding ourselves in.
Besides the progression of technology, we are passionate about maintaining artistry. Because if anything stands the test of time when it comes to humanity, it’s art.

Examples
-
A brand is looking to work with a young team of creatives for an upcoming campaign. In most cases brands are looking for a single creative (like a photographer or film maker). But in this example, let’s assume they’re asking for YBA to scout a hairstylist, make-up artist, fashion stylist, and photographer.
We will get together to determine the preferred age range, deliverables, expectations, budget, output, usage, and visual style.
YBA will compile this information into a clear briefing/budget plan and start scouting for creatives that either matches or elevates the style of the brand. This will be done by tapping into our online and offline networks. We’ll also actively search for potential candidates beyond our existing network.
In this specific case, we’ll also directly get in touch with selected creatives to present to the brand. YBA will also determine and communicate fees.
Once the team has been selected and booked, YBA will pick up the pre-production and arrange gear, location, planning, and call sheets while guiding the team to ensure all is clear during the entire process. The brand will also be kept up to date every step of the way.
We will be present at the shoot to ensure everything goes smoothly for both brand and creator.
Post-shoot, YBA will pick up communication with the creatives to keep track of deadlines and the deliverables. YBA will be a key partner in the post-production phase to help the creative achieve the required quality, but more importantly, to support them with any questions or challenges. The brand will also be kept in the loop every step of the way.
-
An art festival is looking to showcase ten interesting young artists at their upcoming event.
We will get together to determine the preferred age range, creative field(s), budget, and whether or not the festival wants an exclusively made themed artwork.
YBA will compile this information into a clear briefing/budget plan and start scouting for creatives. We will do this by tapping into our online and offline networks. We will also actively search for potential candidates beyond our existing network. This will be done through researching and running targeted, handmade ads. We will ask all creatives to send us their three best artworks and a short bio.
We will compile and present all entries that fit the requirements to the organisation. We will also consult and give advice on how to approach the selection if this is desirable.
After selecting the final ten artists, we will pick up communication and set out deadlines. In the case of exclusive pieces, we will also coach the artists when it comes to the creation of the artworks. This can be anything from supplying materials to conceptualising their piece. If necessary, we will also arrange transportation of the artworks and/or artists to the festival.
We will be present during set-up and the festival to ensure the entire process goes smoothly and according to plan.
-
An organisation is looking for a way to connect the youth with the elderly. Their wish is for us to seek young filmmakers and have them create short films about a small group of elderly people. They’ve requested for us to do the full project management.
We will get together to determine the preferred age range, what kind of campaign we are setting up, the budget, and, if possible, plan a special moment to celebrate and/or showcase the results.
YBA will compile this information into a clear briefing/budget plan and start scouting for creatives. This will be done by tapping into our online and offline networks. We will also actively search for potential candidates beyond our existing networks.
After selecting the chosen artists, we will pick up communication and set out shoot date(s) and deadlines. We will also coach the artists when it comes to the production of the films. This can be anything from scripting, storyboarding, and shot list creation to lighting advice and gear rental.
We will be present at the shoot to ensure everything goes smoothly for both brand and creator.
Post-shoot, YBA will pick up communication with the creatives to keep track of deadlines and deliverables. YBA will be a key partner in the post-production phase to help the creative achieve the required quality, but more importantly, to support them with any questions or challenges. The organisation will also be kept in the loop every step of the way.
