A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDER
I had my first big break as a photographer at 23 years young. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I was lucky enough to make it work. I was represented by agencies shortly after, but there was still so much that I had to figure out on my own. I spent the next ten years learning all the ins and outs of our industry.
I collaborated with schools as a guest teacher to give portfolio advice. Back in 2016, I was asked by the Grafisch Lyceum in Rotterdam to fill in as a temp teacher. This is when I found my passion for mentoring young creatives. After finishing my time there, I knew that I would focus on helping the new generation someday.
This started when I founded Atelier WOA in 2024. It is an open space for the youth to learn any creative craft they set their minds to. I am simply there to coach and provide them with materials. All for free. Atelier WOA has firmly established itself with ties to local governments and youth organizations in the span of just one year.
Recently, brands started asking if they could hire me and the young creatives for commercial brand campaigns. At that time the initiative wasn’t intended to be a commercial venture. But it did set new ideas in motion. After months of brainstorming it all fell into place. Young Blood Studio was born.
I truly believe this is the future of the creative industry. I’m simply here to make sure it happens in the best way possible. I’m looking forward to opening doors for the next generation while bringing fresh energy to brands and organisations.
